Graduation Ceremony in 2015

   In the morning of 18/9, Ho Chi Minh City Technical and Economic College held a Graduation ceremony for graduants of Course 5 (College) and Course 15 (Sub-college). The ceremony received Mr. Truong Van Hung – Head of Professional Education and University Department (DOET), representatives of enterprises where the  students performed their apprenticeship; students’ parents; heads of departments, deans of faculties and 400 graduatants.

   Course 5 lasts 3 years (2012 – 2015) with 100 credits to accumulate. In 2015, 387 students accumulate enough credits, which comprises 283 of regular training program, 104 of alliance training course previous courses. 67% of which rated good and fair. The rest of students are expected to graduate in October 2015 and March 2016. Course 15 lasts  2 years (2013 – 2015) with 03 papers in the examination: Politics, Theoriterical papers  and Workshop Practice (or conduct a Graduation Project as a replacement). Total graduants are 76/81, of which 80.26% rated Fair, 48.68% Good and 2.63% Distinguished.

               


Mr. Pham Duc Khiem – Rector of HOTEC spoke at the ceremony

               

   At the ceremony, Mr. Pham Duc Khiem – Rector of HOTEC advised: “Today, you are grown-ups. Thus, be patriotic, love your people, be ambitious in your career, be responsible for yourselves, for the community, and contribute to the development of the city!”. 

    Mr.Pham Duc Khiem also shared the school’s orientation in the  new school year: “The school has deployed a model of an advanced institute, developed the training program approaching the regional and international standards, reduced academic classroom hours, increased time for practice, implemented the policy of strengthening the link with enterprises... Besides, the role of lecturers has to enhance; Form teachers have to spiritually support their students”

   

 

   In the summary report, Mr. Ha The Vinh - Head of Academic Affairs Department  emphasized: “We appreciate the efforts of students in academic results reflecting not only on GPA but also in the students learning consciousness in participating activities of our  school, the Youth Union, the Student Union, in the attitude during their internships; thereby enhancing their personalities and getting on well in work environment after graduation”. In addition, he also expressed thanks to teachers, companies, and enterprises who have created conditions for students to complete their course.
