Meeting Session with Directorate of Vocational Training and British Delegation on discussing International cooperation

In the morning of January 16th 2018, Mr. Pham Vu Nhu Binh – Director of Vocational Training Quality Assurance Agency and some Representatives from Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality (CTH), Newcastle College, The Nisai Group, Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) and British Government visited and worked with Ho Chi Minh City Technical and Economic College. On HOTEC’s side there are The Board of Rector, Head and Dean from Faculties and Departments.


Overview of the meeting


    Ho Chi Minh City Technical and Economic College has been promoted by Directorate of Vocational Training of MOLISA due to Decision No.1836/QĐ-LĐTBXH, a leading school in the 2016 – 2020 period, orientated to 2025. HOTEC’s mission is to provide the City with highly skilled human resources, especially in the field of Electrical Engineering, Network Administration, Mechatronics in regional and Automotive Engineering in international. HOTEC always finds new opportunities to cooporate with domestic and foreign educational institutes in order to innovate training program and enhance teachers and staff’s skill in the current of ASEAN economic integration.


In the meeting with HOTEC, representatives from institutes have introduced some contents related to training programs in the UK and provide a number of cooperate drafts that can proceed with HOTEC in Automotive Engineering and especially in Tourism and Hospitality.


Mr. Pham Duc Khiem – HOTEC’s Rector expressed his pleasure to welcome the Vocational Training Quality Assurance Agency and British delegation representatives, he also hoped that HOTEC can establish and expand long term cooperation with other institutes. In addition, the Board of Rector also agreed on creating opportunities for exchange and better learning for students through international cooperation programs and introducing to the delegations a number of existing cooperation programs of HOTEC, presenting the need for cooperation to develop the capacity of teachers, staff and students, especially with partners in the UK - one of the countries with advanced background of education and technology in the world; HOTEC affirms the strengths of the College as well as some solutions applied in the direction of cooperation later.


      After discussing and exchanging information, both sides want to have more meetings and looking towards for long term cooperation in the future.
