In thousand years, the Vietnamese people have had a valuable tradition which is handed down and developed in the country history. That is “To venetrate teacher and morality and gratitude is the sign of noble souls. In the morning of November 11, 2017, Ho Chi Minh city Technical and Economic College organized solemnly the 35th anniversary of Teacher’s day, from Nov-20, 1982 to Nov-20, 2017. Attending the ceremony, there were Mr. Le Hong Son – Director of HCMC Education & Training Department; the Representatives of Military Zone 7, Officials from HCMC People’s Committee and many leaders from another Departments, Local Committee, Affiliate Enterprises and Schools with HOTEC’s Board of Rector, teachers and staffs.
In order to develop training programs closely to society’s needs, also create occasion for students to practice skills in order to meet the requirements of enterprises after graduated, as well as create opportunities for enterprises to obtain high quality human resources and maintain the relationship between enterprises and HOTEC, on October 16, 2017, Ho Chi Minh City Technical and Economic College held the MOU Signing Ceremony with Ly Thuong Kiet Toyota and Phu My Hung Toyota. Attending the ceremony there was the presence of HOTEC’s Board of Rectors and Head of departments, centers and faculties. On the visitors there were Mr. Phan Thanh Liem - Deputy Director of Ly Thuong Kiet Toyota and Mr. Le Minh Tri - Deputy Director of Phu My Hung Toyota
In the afternoon of October 11th 2017, representatives of UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Ms Le Thi Thanh Thao had visited and worked with HCMC Technical and Economic College (HOTEC). On HOTEC side there are Ms Huynh Thanh Ngan – Vice Rector and Head of faculties.
On the morning of Sept 23rd 2017, HCMC Technical and Economic College (HOTEC) has solemnly held the graduation ceremony and granted the graduation certificate to the students of 2 sub college level courses. Attending the ceremony were the presence of the Board’s Rector; representatives of enterprises, parents; Dean and Vice Dean of faculties; consultants and more than 400 new graduates.
After 12 days of exchanging - learning about Design Thinking, on September 20th, 2017, the Learning Express Program (LeX) collaborated by the Ho Chi Minh City Technical and Economic College (HOTEC) with Singapore Polytechnic (SP) had officially closed. The closing ceremony took place at HOTEC in joyfulness and regrets of all the students, with nearly 60 students participating in the program.
In the morning of September 12, 2017, HCMC Technical and Economic College (HOTEC) in collaboration with Singapore Polytechnic (SP) held the Opening Ceremony of LeX Design Thinking program for students. Attending the ceremony there was the presence of the Board of Rector, facilitators of SP, teachers, Head of faculties and nearly 70 students participating in the program.
In order to strengthen the relationship between HOTEC and Enterprises, whereby building training program closely with actual needs of our society, enabling students to practice skills to meet the requirements of Enterprises after graduation as well as creating opportunities for enterprises to recruit high quality human resources, in the morning of August 23th 2017, Ho Chi Minh City Technical and Economic College (HOTEC) had organized an MoU signing ceremony with Hoang Quan Consulting - Trading - Service JSC (Hoang Quan Group). Attending the ceremony there was the School Board of Rectors, Mr. Phan Ba Khoi - Director of Binh Chanh affiliation from Hoang Quan Group and some Heads, Directors from Departments, Faculties and Centers.
Equipment reception ceremony from IECD under the project "Seeds of Hope" - Creating more opportunities to study and develop comprehensively for students. (31/08)
On the spirit of cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City Technical and Economic College (HOTEC) and the European Institute for Development Cooperation (IECD) in the project "Seeds of Hope" (Vocational Training "Supply of industrial and civil buildings" and "Maintenance and repair" In order to gain better teaching for students in Electrical and Civil Engineering at intermediate level. In the morning of August 17th 2017, HOTEC had organized a ceremony with IECD to receive equipment in electrics. Attending the ceremony was the present of Mr. Pham Van Nhuan - Vice Rector, Ms. Mihaela Chirca - Project Manager " Seeds of Hope ", Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Thuy - Staff of Project "Seeds of Hope" from IECD and some teachers, staffs from Department of Premises – Facilities Administration, Department of International Relations and Cooperation and Electrics – Automatic Faculties
In the morning of August 3rd 2017, Mr. Shin Duck Sang – Director of Planning and Development Division; Prof. Cho Kyung Ja - Director of International Cooperation Department of SeoJeong University (Korea) and Prof. TS. Tran Hai Linh - Inha University lecturer - President of Vietnamese Association in Korea had visited and worked with Ho Chi Minh City Technical and Economic College. Attended the meeting there are Mr. Pham Van Nhuan and Ms. Huynh Thanh Ngan - Vice Rector of the school, teachers and heads of faculties and departments.
In the morning of 26th 2017, Ho Chi Minh City Technical and Economic College had welcomed guests from Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs and representatives from Inha University (Korea). On Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs there are Mr. Nguyen Van Lam – Vice Director, Mr.Vo Phuoc Nguyen – Vice Head of Vocational Teaching Deparment, Mr. Nguyen Truong Nhan – Vice Chairman of Vietnamese people in abroad’s committee, Mr. Tran Quang Thu – Vice Head of Economic Division – HCMC Department of Science and Technology, Prof. Tran Hai Linh – Inha University’s facilitators – Chairman of Vietnamese people in Korea office, Mr.Shin Duck Sang – Representative of Korea Social Welfare. On HOTEC side there are the Board’s Rector and some Heads from deparments.
