To equip Knowledge of Design Think and basic skills necessary for HOTEC Students Join Lex Program 2017, In the morning 19 June, 2017, Department of International Relations and Cooperation coordinated with the Lecturers to responsible for Lex program to hold a training course on Designing Thinking for Students. Attending the ceremony was the presence of Mr. Pham Van Nhuan - Vice Rector of the school.
With the purpose to build training programs closely with social realistic demands, create opportunities for students to practise skills in order to meet enterprises’s needs after graduation and help companies in grasping quality human resouces. In the morning of June 12th 2017, Ho Chi Minh City Technical and Economic College had organized MoU signing ceremony with Rang Dong Plastic Joint Stock Company. Attending the session there are HOTEC’s Board Rector, Ms Nguyen Thi Le Giang – Rang Dong Plastic Joint Stock Company R&D Director and Heads from related Departments.
The training conference of circulars and guidance texts relating to occupation education field (01/06)
In the transition of state management functions of occupation education from the Ministry of Education and Training to the Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, besides to facilitate the management staffs and lecturers of the college understanding the adoption of new regulations thoroughly, in the morning of May-20, 2017, the HCMC Economic and Technical College organized “The training conference of circulars and guidance texts relating to occupation education field”.
To equip for student have sense of discipline, style in industry, at once help student have some knowlegde about Kaizen, 5S in the field of Mechatronics and Automation as well as understanding imformation about study and job in Japan. In the morning, 13 may,2013 HOTEC college held opening ceremony training coure Kaizen for Mechanical Engineering Technology’s students with the guidance of Mr Juji Koyama- General Director of PMC Community JSC. Attending the ceremony was the presence of Mr. Pham Van Nhuan - Vice Rector of the school.
Scientific Workshop: “Self – control form and solutions at Colleges, Vocational Schools the year 2016 – 2017” (01/06)
In Febuary 14, 2015 The Gorvement had enforced the decree no. 16/2015/NĐ-CP that defined self – control form mechanism of non income – generating administration agencies replacing the decree no. 43/2006/NĐ-CP. This was considered to be an advance in solving problems performing self – control form; futhermore help the agencies can be more active in doing missions, using resources effectively in order to improve vocational training progress. However, there was some shortcomings, because not every school had advantages and effects in doing the decree no.16, and some problems happened in giving self – control permission to Colleges such as nonsynchronous mechanism that lead to lose balance in income and outcome. To analyse and find out causes related to those difficulties, also dicuss solutions in carrying out self – control form at Colleges and Vocational school, in the morning of May 5th 2017, the Scientific Workshop: “Self – control form and solutions at Colleges, Vocational Schools the year 2016 – 2017” had been held at HOTEC.
Welcome Mr. Philip Alexander Dalidakis – the Minister of Victoria state (Australia) to visit the HOTEC (27/04)
In the afternoon of March, 28-2017, the Government Delegation of Victoria state (Australia) visited and worked with the HCMC Economic and Technical College (HOTEC). The HOTEC welcomed honorably Sir Philip Alexander Dalidakis – the Minister of Victoria state of the Small business, the Improvement and the Commerce; Mr. Jason Chai – the Minister Advisor; Mrs. Amanda Jayne Pickrell – the Development Director of the International Education Program – the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transportation and Resources; Mr. Brett Reginald Stevens – the Government Office Commissioner of Victoria state at South East Asia; Mrs. Yeo Sook Peng (Celia Yeo) – the Director of Educational Service; Mr. Raymond Prakash Peter – In charge of Government Relations and Marketing of the Government Commerce Office of the Victoria state at South East Asia; Mrs. Christine Maria Louey – the Project Manager in VN of the Chisholm Institute; Mrs. Beverley Jeffreys – the International Project Manager of the Bendigo Kangan Institute and Mr. Pham Ngoc Thanh – the Vice Director of the HCMC Department of Education and Training. About the HOTEC, there were the presences of the Representatives of the Board of Rectors, teachers who are the Heads of units.
Vocational Education is now playing an important role in social education system. This is the integral one which contributes in meeting the human resources’s needs. Facing the higher with every passing day in economic – social fields due to the developing and intepreting of the city, in several years, The Ho Chi Minh city Technical and Economic College has been changing and improving in methods, contents in order to increase training quality in School, and have a important part in training for staffs, meet the human resources’s needs in Ho Chi Minh city and provinces in the South of Vietnam. One of those is the vocational education activities, which is maintained decently. To give advise about carrers, working ability after graduation, orient learning ability, also guide pratical observing in classes, workshops to last – year students in secondary schools of nearby districts, help them get more information and learning options in the year 2017 – 2018. In the morning of March 25th 2017, HOTEC had organized the “Career Guidance Advisory Day – HOTEC OPEN DAY 2017” for secondary students. This activity had attracted over 3000 students from many secondary schools at Ho Chi Minh city.
In the afternoon on March 25th 2017 at HOTEC, a ceremony about receiving Technical Education support package from Toyota Motors Viet Nam had been organized. This occasion happened by following the “Technical support for Automotive Body and Paint Techician” program (T - TEP in short), which is for Technical Universities and Colleges in Viet Nam. Attended the meeting, there were the Board from Toyota Motors VietNam (TMV in short) - Ms Eriko Watanabe – Vice Director of Marketing, Mr. Lam Chi Quang – high counselor, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thuy – Senior Director of Customer Services. On the honoured guest, there were Mr Le Van Nhung, Head of Cutural & Social Department from People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Truong Van Hung – Head of Vocational and University Education Department - Ministry of Education and Training and Mr Tran Van Tu – Vice Head of Planning – Banking Department, Ministry of Education and Training. From HOTEC there were the College’s Board, teachers and Head of Faculties.
In the afternoon of Feb-13, 2017, the HCMC Technical and Economic College organized the Deployment Conference of the Vocational Education Law in 2017 in order to evaluate rightly the reality and to find out the resolutions for the Vovcational Education Development in the current integration situation. Attending the conference, there were the presence of the Board of Rectors, the teachers, the heads of units as well as the Leaders Representatives of the Đien Bien Technical and Economic College and the Lam Dong Technical and Economic College.
After the Rooster Tet Holiday 2017 warmly and happy with family, in the morning of Febuary 4th 2017 (8th of Tet Holiday), Ho Chi Minh City Technical and Economics College had held the New Year Meeting at the school’s main hall to encourage all the staffs and teachers’s spirit, also hope that everyone will continue to put more and more efforts in order to gain success in their working position, contribute in making HOTEC improve day by day. Attend the meeting there are the College’s Board, Lieutenant – General Pham Van Dy, Communist Party and Millitary District 7 Comissar; Colonel Van Vinh Tuong – Deputy Chief of the Command District 7; Mr Pham Van Tung, Director of District 6’s Treasury; Mrs Pham Thi Chu Nien, Chief Accountant of District 6’s Treasury; Mr Tran Van Tu, Deputy Chief of Planning and Financial – Ho Chi Minh City Ministry of Education and Training and all the teachers and staff of HOTEC.
